Petra (Arabic: البتراء, Al-Batrāʾ) is an archaeological city in the southern part of Jordan. A striking feature of the historical city is its architecture of buildings Al Khazneh (The Treasury) and El Deir (The Monastery) carved from rocks and surrounded by mountains.

Petra, also known as The Red Rose City is Jordan’s most-visited tourist attraction and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.
